As much as Wonkette has lamented the stalemate that persists between everyone’s favorite US presidential candidates, I am finding it hard to care. After a heated match between Istanbul’s football (soccer) archrivals ended 0-0, all of Turkey was cursed with a massive case of voyeuristic blue balls on Saturday night.

Fenerbahçe, having come out on top during the last four meetings of these titans, can’t be happy to have settled on a draw. And those plucky, if perhaps pretentious, Galatasaraylıklar can’t be too thrilled either. Being as I live a stone’s throw from Galatasaray’s historic home, I suppose I should be rooting for them. However, Fenerbahçe deserve mad props as well, being the younger of the two clubs (founded in 1907).

Come on – you know you need to take your mind off of Democratic primaries. Enjoy! Fenerbahçe. Galatasaray.
